Greetings, Beloved Wentz Family and Friends,

My heart is still overflowing with gratitude for being back in worship with you on Sunday. I missed the conversation, hugs, and smiles that come with being in the presence of our Wentz family. While I was recuperating, I had occasions to sit and watch. So many people, from our dedicated elders, trustees, and Sunday Kidz to our talented music department, stepped in and out to ensure the ministry didn’t miss one beat.

It is important to remember in the space of the beloved community, gifts, and talents are revealed and utilized for the glory of God. As we join in fellowship, we discover unique ways to serve and support one another. In these moments, we can see how God has uniquely equipped each of us to be a part of the body. Whether through organizing and planning events, cooking and serving food, or simply offering a listening ear to someone in need, our individual gifts and talents are magnified and utilized when we come together as a community. In these moments, we truly embody what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus on earth.

As we reflect on the importance of community in the Body of Christ and particularly at Wentz’s as we prepare for our church community wide picnic, let us be reminded to always seek opportunities to come together with our fellow brothers and sisters. Whether it is through a church picnic, a small group gathering, or even a one-on-one coffee date, these times of fellowship and camaraderie not only bring us closer to one another, but also closer to our Savior. The joy and fulfillment that comes from these moments of community participation are unparalleled. As we support and uplift one another in the love of Christ, we are fulfilling God’s greatest commandments to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. Wentz’s, may we never take for granted the gift of community and the role it plays in shaping us into the image of our Lord and Savior.

“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord has forgiven you.” Colossians 3:13

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
