Wentz’s UCC is home to a talented group of instrumentalists and vocalists. Working together, our musicians have created a variety of opportunities for you to begin a new instrument or challenge your skills with new repertoire. Membership is open to all skill levels from professional players to those just learning their instruments.
You can ring, sing, play, bang, bow, strum – if you have music in your soul and God in your heart, there’s a place for you at Wentz’s!
Practices are held on Tuesdays beginning at 5:45pm in the church’s sanctuary.
Journey Band
Ever wanted to feel like a rock star? Here’s your chance! Wentz’s Journey Band plays a wide variety of music ranging from traditional to contemporary to Christian rock, and everything in between. We welcome new arrangements, instruments and ideas, and are always willing to try something different.
Bells
Wentz’s UCC is known for its outstanding and diverse bell choirs. Anyone 10 years or older is invited to participate. We cater to a wide range of abilities in our multiple bell choirs, so we learn everything from note values to dynamics and more advanced handbell techniques. Our Ringers participate in worship services throughout the year as well as special services, holiday functions, and family events. Our bell choirs often participate in regional workshops and festivals.
Chimes
Do you enjoy music but have never learned to play an instrument? Now’s your chance! Learning to play hand-held chimes is a great way for anyone from 4 years old and up to learn the fundamentals of music and musicianship. No experience needed!
