Greetings Beloved Wentz’s Family and Friends,
As we approach Thanksgiving, my heart is filled with gratitude for all of you. It has been a challenging year, to say the least, as we have witnessed a world full of suffering, and uncertainty. However, as followers of Jesus, we can find hope and peace amid trying circumstances.
The apostle Paul lived in a world much like ours. He faced persecution, imprisonment, and even death. Yet, he never wavered in his faith and instead encouraged others to put their trust in God. He reminded the Philippians, and us, to not worry but to give thanks and have faith that God has everything under control. As he wrote in his letter to the Romans, “all things work together for good for those who love God…”
Tomorrow many of us will gather with loved ones to share a meal and celebrate. Others may spend the day quietly at home. No matter how you spend the day, I urge you to remember that God is with you. God sees you, your family, your friends, and all those who occupy space in your heart. Let us give thanks not only for what God has done in the past, but also for what the spirit will do in the future. As Scripture reminds us, “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things God has prepared for those who love Him.”
Let us gather in a spirit of faithful and hopeful thanksgiving, knowing that the one who holds our tomorrows is with us and has already made a way for us to overcome any challenges we may face. Allow the peace of God that surpasses all understanding be with you and keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
In the words of the psalmist, “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” May God bless you abundantly this Thanksgiving and always.
With a heart full of gratitude that leads to hope,
Rev
