Often in church circles, we shy away from difficult, challenging, and controversial subjects because of politics. We don’t want to make anyone upset. We often forget Jesus spoke truth to the power in His earthly ministry. Both the religious power brokers and Roman authorities viewed Jusus and his followers as subversive and potential insurrectionists. We must learn to have challenging conversations with love and integrity.
