Tackling Food Insecurity
For many in our community, food insecurity is a real and overwhelming daily concern.
St. James Outreach House Food Pantry is in need of help to restock their shelves with food items and other necessities they are supplying to the local community. Please consider helping our neighbors in need by picking up and item or two from the list below.
Suggested Items
Toiletries – body soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash, deodorant, menstrual pads, tampons, diapers, training pants, baby wipes
Cleaning Supplies – Laundry detergent, liquid cleaners such as Mr. Clean, Lysol, etc., toilet cleaners, shower/bath cleaners, furniture polish, paper towels, toilet paper
Pet Supplies – dog food – dry and canned, cat food – dry and canned, cat litter
Non-Perishable Food Items
- Canned fruit – pears, peaches, fruit cocktail, packaged fruit packs
- Canned meat – tuna, chicken, ham
- Canned soups and broths
- Canned tomatoes – of all types – stewed, diced, whole, spaghetti sauce
- Canned vegetables- canned potatoes, peas, carrots, asparagus, lima beans, baked beans, kidney beans, chickpeas, mushrooms, beets, applesauce. Not needed – corn, green beans.
- Cereal
- Coffee
- Instant oatmeal
- Juice and juice boxes
- Ketchup and mustard
- Olives and pickles
- Pasta, noodles, packaged noodle sides (Ramen, Knorrs, Rice a Roni, Macaroni and cheese, Spaghettios)
- Peanut butter, jelly or jam, marshmallow crème
- Powdered milk
- Staples – flour, sugar, salt, cooking oil

- Bread
- Apples
- Onions
- Oranges
- Potatoes
The Trustees are available on Saturday mornings at Wentz’s to accept donations. You may also place them in the designated box on the covered porch next to the entrance to Fellowship Hall.
