Rev’s Mid-Week Thought

New Year’s Blessings of goodness and life to each of you. I like to start each new year in prayer asking God to continue to guide my/our footsteps as we pursue a just world for all.

Let us pray together!

Great Loving, Gracious, and Merciful God, we come to You in a prayerful spirit, acknowledging Your many names and powerful manifestations. As we continue to witness the chaos and turmoil that surrounds us – from wars and illnesses to abuse and toxic political climates – we also recognize our own role in contributing to this pernicious environment. We ask for Your forgiveness and healing in all our relationships – between individuals, religions, countries, and families.

It is abundantly clear that no one is winning; no one benefits from this current situation. We are all suffering, and it feels as though both religion and politics have let us down. We plead for Your divine intervention. Please guide our hearts and minds towards turning our weapons and animosity into instruments for peace and unity.

In this troubled and chaotic world, we pray for Your intervention and for all to heed Your universal message of love. We believe by faith that 2024 will be a time when our vision is clear, so healing, transformation, and restoration take place as we surrender to Your divine plan. May we choose to abandon the ways of war and embrace Your grace and love in all aspects of our lives.

Standing on Your strong name and promises. Amen

“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11;24
